The content includes design of main and control circuits, choice and manufacture of electronic devices, routing, soldering and debugging. The objective of this course is to deepen and extend knowledge, and improve engineering specialty of students.

After learning the theories and the methods of conversion of electrical energy, students can master the technology of using power electronic devices to convert and control electrical energy by studying the experiment on the foundation of power electronics technology. This course is a process of teaching which can combine the theories with the practice in projects, meanwhile it can cultivate students the ability of choosing the right devices according to the demand of project, it can cultivate students the ability of analyzing and calculating the typical circuits of electrical energy converter, and it also cultivate students the ability of debugging the basic circuits of electrical energy converter. It is used to verify theories and design experiments. By the study of this course, students can not only master the methods and experimental skills of experiment on the foundation of power electronics technology, but also be familiar with the development of power electronic devices and the controlling technology, which can provide the foundation for designing project and project application in electronic engineering.
